Franklin

For the past 8 months, I've settled into my new beats at the Monitor, including covering the city of Franklin. The smallest city and one of the poorest in New Hampshire, it's a place full of challenges but also hope. The most recent story I did, about a massive, what some consider unrealistic, vision of a downtown revitalization, was perhaps the most optimistic article I've written since coming here. There's real change happening. 

I've been photographing there as much as possible, including a New Year's Day whitewater rafting event and in May, a three-part series called "Focus on Franklin." I spent a week or so talking to and photographing as many people as possible in the city. I asked them what they thought about their city - what's good, and what could be better.
